the beginning
second attempt
Eight Changes:
adding
I added pins that align with spine of the animal
Then I added hemp string and twisted them around
the pins
Next, I painted the soap with acrylic green paint.
With the wet paint and a little water, I added soap shaving onto
the soap
Then once the soap shavings were on the soap I wrapped
masking tape all around it.
subtracting
First I chopped off all of the legs.
Then I chopped off the snout of the animal.
Next I chopped off the neck and some of the soap shavings
Then I removed more of the soap shavings
Then, with all the soap cravings I created a coat
since people like to wear sheep's fur in coats and sweaters.
I wanted to change the soap form as much as possible and from the beginning I knew that I wanted to use the soap shavings for something. I think that it is ironic that I ended up picking an animal thats fur is acutally used for sweaters and coats, it wasnt intentional at first, but I like the way it came out all together as a whole. Craving the soap was not the easiest thing but it was much easier with my second attempt even though both of my soaps were different. My first soap was a harder more dense soap and the second one was soft and had a strong fragrance in it, which made it hard to work with.
